U10 Rossoneri v U11 Bingham Town

🌟⚽️Now “that’s” Entertainment!⚽️🌟

Another fantastic performance from our Super boys today.

I’ve been warned to keep the report short, so I’ll try πŸ˜‰

We hosted our strongest opponents so far since playing up with the U11’s. Bingham Town are a solid division two side, so we knew it would be a tough match, but also a brilliant opportunity for our boys to learn more and with that develop.

The first half was well balanced with both sides battling for everything and at times it was scrappy. The Bingham players were very quick to the ball and also strong in their challenges. Once our boys adapted to this we started to pick up the tempo and create some good chances. Unfortunately we were caught out by an attack and conceded an uncharacteristic goal. But the boys picked themselves up and deservedly got an equaliser, lots of pressure resulting in a pass to Diego who hit a hard shot into the bottom corner of the net ⚽️

At half time we told the boys they were playing well, but asked them to just speed up their passing and movement……..

The second half started with a much faster tempo with our boys playing some great football. We continued to create chances and a fantastic run, dribble and finish by Jailen put us deservedly in front. It was an outstanding goal and showcased the quality of our play but also ours player talent πŸ‘πŸΌ. As the half went on we continued to play good football, but Bingham were always a threat and within 5 minutes they equalised with a badly deflected shot finding its way into the net.

Our boys came straight out from the centre kick and produced some brilliant football, putting Bingham under tremendous pressure. We created so many chances but could not find the net, the Bingham keeper making some outstanding saves. The boys probably deserved to win but we were all happy with the performance. They got stronger and more confident as the game went on which is a good sign.

Jailen was on fire πŸ”₯, he showed great pace, brilliant ball control, excellent passing and amazing tenacity. His goal was a beauty and he deservedly was our Man of the Match πŸ†βš½οΈπŸ‘πŸΌ

Sam had an excellent game. Constantly talking to the boys, calling them into position, but yet again making good decisions with his distribution, a topic we covered this week in training and also made an outstanding save in the second half, sprinting from his line to the edge of the box to block a striker from shooting. Sam deservedly was awarded Training Star of the Week πŸŒŸβš½οΈπŸ‘πŸΌ

All other boys played well, but another special mention to Diego who continues to settle in well with the boys, plus Taylor who has now got two games under his belt after 3 months out.

Big thanks as always to you parents, I hope you enjoyed it as much as Pete and I did πŸ˜‰. There is no question the boys provide brilliant entertainment.

Thanks Mark for being Linesman and Jason for offering to referee. I thought the ref was excellent.

See you all at training on Monday and then back at Caythorpe next Saturday.

You Super Colts!!!!!!!!
