Colts away at Rainworth!

Game week 3 saw the under 8 reds travel to North Notts for a game against Rainworth at the Joseph Whittaker school. All the boys were ready for a tough match even after the 15 minute walk down to the pitch. Apparently some one was ploughing a field in Farnsfield so well done to the parents for getting everyone there for kick off.

In a very evenly and tightly contested game where both teams goals were living charmed lives it was the Colts who came out on top with a 2-0 victory. Captain and man of the match for the day was the superb Oliver Babiarz who was the stand out performer both on the pitch and between the sticks, putting his body on the line on numerous occasions to keep Rainworth at bay.

Oliver Henshaw rocked up to the party and bagged himself 2 more goals for the season and is looking a real good bit of transfer work by the management. Special mention also to Hugh Freeman and Ben Warburton who were both rocks at the back and kept Rainworth at bay for long periods. Some of the last ditch tackles and strong challanges were reminiscent of  a young Franco Baresi and Paulo Maldini respectively.

All in all another good performance from the whole team, everyone stepped up and put in a shift and got the result they deserved. Well done guys.
