Another cracking day for football.

Firstly Southwell and Lowdham remembered the life of Georgia Nelson who was taken too soon.

Southwell started the game well and pushed Sharpy into making a string of good saves. Lowdham came back into the game and scored a good goal after a good passing movement from Oggy setting up JB.

Southwell’s heads didn’t drop and equalised early in the second half. Lowdham have a majority of the possession with some fantastic closing down and passing from Jimmy, Eesa and Cams. Lowdham forced a number of corners and were fortunate to go in front from a headed own goal.

Again Southwell came back into the game sensing Lowdham’s tiredness and capitalising on a defensive mistake.

The Southwell keeper(s) made a string of wonderful saves all game and as it came into the last 30 seconds Lowdham broke and Cams forced the keeper into another a good save, but it fell to Greavesy on the edge of the box and the game was settled with a goal worthy of winning any match.

3-2 – Harsh on Southwell and a draw would have been a fair result. But a win is a win.

Harry did very well in goal (MOTM), Ben did well in Defence and Midfield, Brody was back to his old self and battled his socks off, James effort was excellent and just kept going, Eesa had a good game and battle for everything and passed really well, Cameron showed great pace and passed really well, JB took his chance well and battled when asked to, and Owen had a great game on left and hopefully enjoyed his time in a new role.

Thanks to ref who had a very good game and controlled the game well.

Thanks to the Barmy Army who encouraged both teams and kept behind the respect cordon 🙂
