Late late show as Reds grab a point against Eastwood

Friday night and Ramsey at Norwood Golf presentation night watching Mrs Ramsey pick up her prizes from her successful season. As there was no quickest round the course prize he returned home empty handed after a couple of pints of Dublin’s finest stout. A lie in on Saturday as LC have a later KO and with batesy’s boys on before him at Gunthorpe nets already up.

LC went from famine to feast of personnel and although the king was off at the rugby a strong squad of 15 had been assembled as LC welcomed Eastwood Community on a pleasant winters morning. LC lined up with Camsterazi in goals, Tobierski, JC, Francisco and Arbuckloa at the back, Redders and Jonno anchoring the midfield, Buchanzini, G force and Joe Ashworth across the middle and dunners up top. Bench of Alexandro, Frazola, Cotterillo and Shaymar.

First twenty and LC a bit lackluster giving the ball away to easily and not creating much going forward. Eastwood looking better and a strong run from midfield behind the LC defence and Camsterazi unable to save. 0-1. A bit of a shuffle with Frazola, Alexandro and Cotterillo on and LC start to improve and carve out a couple of good chances for G force but the keeper saving one well and the other fizzing over the bar. HT 0-1 and LC unlucky to be behind.

Second half, Shaymar on and an even contest with both teams probing well and then midway through Eastwood get a second after a slick move with Camsterazi getting a touch but unable to keep it out. 0-2 Next 15 and LC crank it up and hit the post 3 times but the final touch eluding them. A reshuffle of personel as Joe Ashworth and Tobierski now on at the back with Arbuckloa now centre half, JC in midfield and Francisco up top. LC look rejuvenated now and with 8 minutes to go Francisco wins a 50-50 ball, slides in Frazola who slots home for 1-2 and all of a sudden game on.

4 minutes to go and a great ball from the left flicked on by Frazola to Buchanzini who slides in the equalizer 2-2. A fast and furious last 3 or 4 minutes follow but neither team can get the winner. 2-2 it finishes. Eastwood had dominated possession but LC had created far more in the way of clearcut opportunities particularly in the second half. Buchanzini MOM but Frazola and Redders close behind. LC starting to put a bit of a run together with 2 wins and 2 draws in their last 4 league games. Next up Southwell who will be a stern test. You Reds!
