Tangerines grind out a well deserved draw in Basford
Friday night with the Reindeer Sportsbar heaving Ramsey finishes with a wee drop of Cardhu. Cardhu is a Speyside distillery founded by the whisky smuggler John Cumming in 1824. A walk home in the wee hours and then a lie in before setting off to Basford with the Knox twins and JC in the battlebus. After a few diversions due to roadworks, LC assembled and counted the numbers.
Big W serving the last match of his 3 match suspension, Buchy injured, Redders in London, Cotterillo reffing and so LC were a bit thin on the ground again. Chazzer in goals, Camsterazi, JC, Francisco and Arbuckloa at the back, Shaymar and Jonno in the centre, G force in the hole and Alexandro, Frazola and Dunners up top. Joe Ashworth on the bench replacing Arbuckloa at half time who went off to work.
LC kicked off and had the better on the opening half with 3 or 4 clear opportunities with Alexandro, Dunners and G force all blasting wide or over and Dunners just failing to get on the end of a JC free-kick. Second half and Basford look more dangerous but LC go ahead with Frazola heading on for Dunners to place coolly past the keeper 1-0 to LC.
10 minutes later Basford equalize with a through ball behind the defence dinked over Chazzer. Both teams had chances to win thereafter with Alexandro having two good chances, Frazola thwarted and Chazzer having to pull off a couple of quality saves. 1-1 the final result and probably a fair reflection of the game. JC MOM. Next up Sherwood. You reds!
