Top of the table Carlton hang on for a point as the reds come back from the dead.

Friday night and the usual suspects in the Reindeer Sportsbar with Ramsey and DJ Bolsh with Dalwhinnie from the highest distillery in the Scottish highlands the favoured tipple Saturday arrives and a lie in with a 1pm ko v table topping Carlton Town yellow awaiting the reds. With no ref, Ramsey stepped into the breach and after the usual assortment of call offs and no shows, Lowdham’s bumper squad of 18 had shrunk to 12.

LC lined up with the King in goals, Shaymar, JC, Francisco and Arbuckloa at the back, Redderski and Cotterillo anchoring midfield, Alexandro, G force and Dunners as the 3 and Frazola up top. Aaron on the bench but would quickly come on and play a part in the proceedings. LC kick off and the first half is an end to end affair with neither team dominating but both teams looking dangerous in spells.

For LC great efforts from Alexandro, Frazola and G force kept out or just over the bar then Carlton get the break through with a well placed shot into the corner through a melee of players for 0-1 at HT.

Second half and twenty minutes in Carlton get the second and only last gasp defending stops a third. It looks like business as usual and for them and points in the bag. LC have not had a habit of laying down this season however and with Carlton losing their discipline get a free kick on the right, Aaron whips it in, a flurry of saved shots and Arbuckloa at the back post tucks in the rebound. 1-2 and suddenly the complexion of the game turns on its head and the hunters have become the hunted with LC knocking the ball about well now and Carlton getting rattled.

3 minutes to go and LC get the equalizer they deserve with a corner knocked on and then tucked in by Cotterillo. 2-2. Last 3 minutes and Carlton who’s discipline has gone completely manage to hold out for a well earned point. LC have come back from the dead for the second time in 3 weeks and are slowly starting to creep up the table. All 12 players immense today with Arbuckloa MOM in a game where everyone showed true grit. The King classy as ever in goals and the back 4 took no prisoners with Cotterillo, Redders and G force full of energy and purpose in midfield. Aaron, Dunners, Frazola and Alexandro creating a lot of problems with their variety and pace.

Merry Xmas and a Happy Hogmanay when it comes. You reds!
