U6 Play First Ever Friendly Match

First of all what a beautiful day to be watching a game of football.
The boys were all really excited about playing their first game, against Cotgrave FC, and looked to thoroughly enjoy themselves. While the result didn’t quite go our way every one of them can hold their head up high!!
They all worked their socks off, ran up and down the pitch, put in lots of good tackles, produced some lovely passing and scored a good team goal ?. They deserved more out of the game and were it not for a particularly good Cotgrave player (who scored most of their goals) and a good goalkeeper the score would have been a lot closer.

Thanks to Rob for coaching, to Damien for marking out the pitch at late notice, to great parental support and most of all to the boys for giving us a great morning of football to watch. It was particularly lovely to see how they all kept smiling and kept going to the end. It has given us all a taste of great things to come ?

Looking forward to the next match and even more of the boys being involved.

Well done Lowdham Colts U6 ⚽️⚽️⚽️

Hi, On behalf of all Cotgrave U6s and parents we would like to thankyou for a great fun match today. We have had a few games elsewhere and we must say that the atmosphere was the best we have had today. With our parents commenting on your parents having a laugh and encouraging. As we have been to other places and felt uneasy. It wasnt the case today you all have a great setup and coaching the right way and the team you have will come on very well with a few friendlys. We would be more then happy to invite you all over to Cotgrave in the near future just give me a shout ??.”

Thanks
Matt – Cotgrave FC
