U9 – Sheer Class

u9 Blacks Great Game to watch.

I don’t know if it’s a little sad, but watching the boys playing such lovely football is one of the highlights of my week. From start to finish the game was a pleasure to watch with both teams trying their hardest (and as a coach that’s all you can ask for).

Lowdham started well and took early lead through some lovely passing. With Pazza, Jimmy and JB combining well. Beeston tried hard to get back into the game and created some good half chances, but Lowdham moved the ball well, controlled the possession and gave Beeston little.

The second half Lowdham continued to dominate possession and some lovely play down the right saw Cams bag his first of the afternoon. To Beeston’s credit they never gave up and started pressing the game and carved out their best chance of the game (just over). Another lovely passing move done the left that included Brodes, Eeee resulted in JB calmly finishing and getting his 2nd goal of the day. Lowdham finished strong and Cams finished the game off with his second of the day.

Well done to both teams for an excellent game. Thanks to ref who have an excellent game and both sets of supporters who were an asset to the game. Barmy Army Barmy Army

??⚽️⚽️Sheer Class⚽️⚽️??

Don’t think I need to do a lengthy write up this week as the title sums today’s performance up perfectly.

Everything just clicked into place and it was a pleasure to watch.

Positionally the boys were brilliant. Pete and I had discussed a few minor changes and they worked very well.

Sam, Will and Jude are forming a formidable wall of defence, another game, another clean sheet speaks volumes. The ability of Will and Jude to press forward is a fabulous asset to the team and it showed today.

Kai, Ewan, Noah, Fin and Taylor played some brilliant passing football, keeping possession but importantly creating chances. The “triangular” passing at times was amazing and is testament to what they learn in training. Their communication and awareness also excellent. Noah scored another cracker!

A few highlights –

Ewan – 3 fabulously taken goals, another hat trick, fabulous movement on the ball and great awareness earned today’s Man of the Match ?⚽️?

Finn – Confident, composed, creative and an all round first class display

Taylor – played on the right wing for the first time and did a cracking job. Listened brilliantly, stayed positive and made some cracking tackles and passes, well done and deserved our Training Star of the week ?⚽️? (ps thanks Damien Greaves)

A nice touch by the boys to sing happy birthday to Sam, have a great birthday Sam ?

As always thanks to all you Supporters, I am sure you enjoyed it?
